PT Alga Agung, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alga Agung Group, was established on the 12th of November 1976 under the Indonesia Company Act. The Company is working independently in both international and regional markets and the South East Asia market in particular. The company started off as a plywood trading house. In 1986, the company established its own plywood manufacturing mill in Tangerang, Indonesia. In 1995, the company diversified its interest by venturing into the mining industry.

The Company is responsible for the mining and trading of commodities such as iron ore, steam coal and nickel ore. All our customers are reputable enterprises both at home and overseas with large and medium scale. The company has been upholding the following principles since its establishment, i.e. cooperation, friendship, win-win oriented and sustainable development. These factors are leading us steadily and soundly to our success both in scale and in economic efficiency.

Future Plans
Our immediate plans are the expansion and development of our mining properties (nickel, iron ore/iron sand and steam coal). Through acquisitions and greenfield investments, Alga Agung is in the process of evolving into a world recognized mining company with a portfolio of high quality mining assets to drive future growth.
